Peter Benedict Shock

Our beautiful boy is a saint in heaven, alive in the arms of Jesus and his blessed mother. He was born at 5:27 on August 16th. He weighed just 3 pounds 15 ounces, and was 15 inches long. We spent the evening with him, after which he passed peacefully. We would have loved more time with him but I knew after he was born that he wouldn't be with us for very long. Julie absolutely adores him; she misses him terribly.

Funeral Mass arrangements are being made for Monday, 9:30am at St. Ursula on Harford rd. in Parkville.

  1. The Lord wrapped Beautiful Baby Peter in his loving arms and took him home to wait on your return.

May his arms also gently hold the family in faith and love. As you journey on.

    Blessed Be

  2. Praying for you. Thanks for being a true example of Christ's love in this anti-life culture we live in. What a beautiful image that you held your son and now God holds your son. I think it would be wonderful if somehow you could have your story published and I encourage you to do so. Our first son we lost through a miscarriage we named Peter too! God Bless!!

  4. God bless you at the beginning of this part of the journey. Your son is beautiful- what a privilege it is to be chosen to love "the least" in His kingdom here. What a privilege to be chosen to usher your sweet saint into His kingdom there.

Stephanie, he is beautiful. He is indeed an angel watching over you every day now, just as my Mary Elizabeth watches over me. Hugs to you...

  12. I just wanted to say that your little boy is gorgeous! That sweet little mouth and those cute cheeks. No Mother should have to experience the pain you are feeling right now. I am very sorry. You've shown great courage and remarkable strength. I pray that helps you in the time to come. Rest in peace baby Peter.... Stacy Dunning CA.

  14. Heard about your blog from my friend Kate Blair... we are so sorry for your loss. Peter Benedict is beautiful and so perfect! Thank you for sharing his beautiful (however short) life with all of us. What a blessing he is and will be to many. I'm glad he is in the arms of Jesus and I know that he will be blessing your family greatly with his prayers from above on your behalf. My heart and prayers go to your family and your daughter especially as you all heal. May God's peace and love surround you during this time. - Lisa Marie Walk

  15. Praying you find comfort in the arms of Jesus and Mary, and through the prayers of your family's special saint, Peter. St. Peter, pray for us!

  16. Many prayers for your family in this difficult time. I believe our babies pray especially for us from their places of honour in Heaven. Don't be afraid to talk to him and ask his intercession as you would any Saint. Some days I think it is being sure in the knowledge that my daughter can hear me and is praying for me that keeps me sane.
